Whoooo's had more than one birthday this year?

Jimmy Lou Who! That's who! At this rate he'll be five before Christmas!
Jimmy got these great stripey who-jamas from Grandma Terrie!

And the who-hair from the bed head fairy!

Over Mother's Day weekend, we went down to Portland to visit Grandma and Grandpa Tillson,
We spent most of mother's day at the Grotto and really enjoyed it. Jimmy walked Grampa all around and even sat every once in a while to look at the pond.

He enjoyed this statue with the animals!

Jimmy also made a wish, but he wouldn't say what he wished for...

Maybe for milkshakes...

Or Macaroni cheese!

We enjoyed another Birthday party for Jimmy that evening at a local family restaurant. Grandma ordered this great cake!

And there were presents...

And singing and balloons!

Yea! B'loons! Two B'loons!

Jimmy was very satisfied with the event!

He even liked the cake decoration (more than the cake itself)!

It was a great weekend. When we got home we found a fuzzy reason why we've been going through so much birdseed lately...

Jimmy's seeds have been transplanted to bigger pots and moved outside! They are doing fairly well!

Jimmy takes good care of them!

When Mommy remembers to fill up his watering can...

For now we are just hanging out... no Dr's appts until the end of the week, no visitors until the end of the week and less than two weeks until daddy comes home! So if there's no post for a while, that's why... I'm busy enjoying having my hubby home again!

We also got two more blocks for Joey's quilt... these are both by Ruth...
Only nine left and we can start assembly!

Enjoy your Memorial Day everyone!

April was good to us!

Hello everyone!
Here is April's month in review!
These are not in order, but that is not all that important for this month's events!

On our last visit to the zoo, we found this PEACOCK!
This guy was apparently feeling his oats and was very busily displaying to a pygmy goat (not pictured) and kept his tail up for a good 20 minutes - and then we saw him again trying to impress some tourists...

Peacocks are impressive from the front, but from the back... not so much!

Here is Jimmy enjoying his lunch on his freshly painted table and chairs! Grandma Sue and I had a great time with this project and it turned out ultra-cute if I do say so myself... and even better, Jimmy has gotten fanatical about using a place mat on his table! Yea! It will stay looking nice at least a little bit longer!

It is getting time to cut his hair again!
Holy bedhead Batman!

Here he is on his birthday (more below about celebrating) This is the only picture I took on the actual day this year- go figure!

The weather has been really nice so we have been spending a lot of time at the park!
Jimmy really likes the tunnels on the play equipment!

Really really likes the tunnels! Oh, and chocolate chip cookies, too!

Hi Mama! Got any more cookies out there?

We had a nice visit with Grandma Sue. There were lots of snuggles to be had!

And a ferry ride!

We came home from Montana with our first ear infection, and were put on our first course of antibiotics...

Turns out Jimmy is allergic to amoxicyllin... He broke out in a highly alarming rash...all over his little body!
The interns at the hospital all came to look at it because apparently it was a great example of a classic amoxicyllin rash.
For any Mommies reading this that haven't seen one, here you go!
From the back...

And the front...

The good news is that it bothers the mom a lot more than the kid...
Jimmy definitely took it in stride!
Strike a pose for mama Jimmy! I'll have him "vougue-ing" in no time!

Like I said, we have been spending a lot of time at the park. The swings are fun, too!

Near....

Far!

The state of our lawn might also be a reason we started to go to the park so often...

This has been resolved... I found a father/son team that mow every other week for me until Daddy gets home!

We also planted some seeds... the sunflowers and peas are doing well, the cucumbers are a flop...

I'm sure the peas will taste better off the vine...

And my tulips are still blooming! Jimmy now has his own watering can and helps to water the flowers. Along with the rocks, the car, the sidewalk, my feet and the cat when she isn't paying attention!

That is all the pics for now!

We has celebrated Jimmy's big 2 almost everyday this week...
Monday while we were running errands, we stopped at red robin for lunch and I had them sing to him then, which he loved!!!
Tuesday we rode on the ferry to IKEA and picked up his kids club birthday present...
Yesterday, the actual day, we didn't spend much time doing anything, but sang the birthday song a lot...
Today we get to go to the Dr and have some happy birthday to you shots! Yea!
We will also be making a trip to Portland soon, too, and will also be having a party there...
Jimmy didn't even get a cake this year... mostly because Mommy can't eat most baked goods until after Baby Joey is born...

On the roster for the rest of may... a trip to Portland, a visit from Aunt Sarah and the arrival home of the Daddy! Wah hoooooo!
Catch up with you all later!
Happy spring!

Finally! Success!

Here we go! Here are the pictures from our trip to Montana!

At Grandma's House there are lots of trains and tracks to play with!

Jimmy also got a box of fun stuff including this fun bulldozer!

Jimmy and Grandpa Jim shared a few desserts.

A bite for Grandpa...

And one for Jimmy!

Whew! Now we need some milk!

"Crazy" Aunt Dodo had a good time with Jimmy in the mall playground... once we figured out which of the five little blond boys in red shirts was ours...

She also made a Diaper Cake for Joey! How cute!

Look Mom, are these for me?

All fancied up for church.

Yea! I've been here before! Let's splash in the fount!

You wanna splash? OK Jimmy!

One...

TWO......

Just kidding.

Here we all are. Too bad the younger Hubby's weren't able to be here!

Here is the cat guarding some of the eggs for Jimmy's egg hunt.

Another egg in the plant...

Jimmy found all the eggs! He also learned that if you throw them on the floor, they break open and chocolate comes out!

There were eggs everywhere, even on his table...

Chocolate bunnies, too! Yummy!

Grandma's house is a good place to fly a kite... too bad it was so cold and snowy!

Jimmy trekked down to the mailbox with Dodo to get the paper.
It's a long walk in the mud if you have short little legs!

Clean your boots off in the snow before you come inside, but....

Watch out for Dodo!!!

Hey! There's snow on my head!

They had fun anyway...

And then Dodo found the peeps.

This one never stood a chance.

We got home mostly safely and found that the tulips we planted were just starting to bloom!

The quilt squares really rolled in this week, too. I now have in my hot little hands just over half of them!

Sue did this great corner.

The Drum by Dodo

Tippy did this jeep

Jen made the Kite

Sue also did the lion

Jen's Owl

And Tippy did the quilt and the Zebra!

Very cute! I still can't wait to see what the whole thing will look like when it is all put together!

Daddy called a few times this last week, too!
He is on his long way home, but at least he's headed in this direction. He will also be seeing dry land every week and a half or so, so he won't be out of contact for such a long stretch of time!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and our nice weather spreads your way!
