End of the month wrap up!

Hello everyone!

Thank you all for checking back with us! It has been a crazy few weeks around here!

We are in the process of moving/painting/who will watch the boys while the other one works?
It has been a long few days and we are almost done! Thank goodness!
Our new house is soooooo cool and I am glad we were given permission to paint it up the way we want!

Joey is growing and plumping up... as you can see, and he still looks quite a bit like his brother!

He does his tummy time better than Jimmy ever did...

I was amazed that he was able to pick his head up so early!

We are getting close to the time that we can start his sleep training in earnest, having his own room will help!

Jimmy still conks out good for his naps, too.

Still looks so little on our bed!

Jimmy was outside tasting mud pies...

Apparently, they look better than they taste.

For our anniversary, we tried going to the Diana Krall concert, but all of the ferries has such long delays, we couldn't get there in time... bummer.
On the actual day of our anniversary, we took a walk as a family! Jimmy had a blast "going FAST" on this long smooth stretch.

And Joey slept.

We had a nice visit from the other Aunt Sarah and Uncle Gak.

I took Jimmy to a mommies group event where he could play all his energy out.
There was a ball pit to play in,

A trampoline to bounce on,

A whole thing to climb around on,

And slides to slide down.

There was so many things for Jimmy to do even I didn't get pictures of then all. We have been here twice now and Jimmy had so much fun.

And Joey slept.

While we are moving there isn't much food in either house yet , so we went out to an Italian restaurant and Jimmy enjoyed fettuccine Alfredo. He enjoyed it all over his face and shirt!

And Joey slept.

Jimmy helped Daddy paint our bedroom this nice milk chocolate color.

And Joey slept.

OK, we really do take him out of the car seat every once in a while, I mean he has to sit in his swing some of the time, too!

That is all the news that's fit to print right now, I will post pictures of our new house when we get everything unpacked!

Love to you all and see you next month probably!

Just a quickie

Hello everyone!

Just a few pictures before the boys wake up!

Joey has started taking and enjoying his baths!

Jimmy is ever helpful and likes to help Daddy mow the lawn.

And empty the grass catcher.

And take the grass to the bin to be dumped.

Everyone is fine but not quite perky again, and we are slowly getting into a routine again. In the transition to the new computer our address book has now made the switch. As soon as we get it all moved I can get announcements sent out, so be patient if you are expecting one, please!

Baby Joey

Hello everybody!
I will post pictures of Jimmy's last few days as an only child in a few days, but I know that you all are just drooling in anticipation to see Joseph!
Here you go!

And yes, I realize there is an inordinate amount of exclamation points in this post!

Our littlest J was born on Thursday and was 6 lbs and 10.8 oz, 19 1/2 inches long!

These pictures are not in any order!

Here he is ready to go home!

Little grins!

Jimmy helps feed his baby!

He also got to hold Joey, and pointed him out to Grandma.

The first introduction went well. Jimmy was much more interested in the art and food in my room!

Proud Daddy!

Whoa! Who turned on the lights!

Our happy little family!

Brand new baby!

A word problem

Everyone have paper and pencils at the ready?
Good. Here is your word problem for the day.

There are two toddlers

Both are male and of approximately equal size and weight.

Both are running at top toddler speed around the central structure of the play area in the mall.

One is running in a clockwise direction, the other in a counter-clockwise direction.

When they collide with enough force to knock both of them back onto their little butts, which one ends up with a black eye?

The answer:
The one that didn't have his head down like a ramming billy goat!

Poor Jimmy! But it was only terrible for a few minutes and then play resumed as normally scheduled! The other kid got off with a small red spot on his forehead that quickly went away as Jimmy's eye puffed up like a purple blowfish. I think it looks worse that it is and it doesn't seem to bother Jimmy because he doesn't have to look at it!

But now you do!

When we got home the swelling had gone down a bit!

It looked even worse this morning! That's what you get for watching where you're going kiddo!

Let my People merge!

OK...
I know you are all waiting patiently for pictures and I am in the process of uploading them really!

Until then, here is some funny reading from one of the other blogs I read...
I guess it's a good thing that the Vatican has time to worry about these things...
Adressing global warming and world hunger must have slipped slightly on Benny's "To Do' list!

Mom-101: The Ten Duhs of Driving

Last update for a while! maybe!

Hello everyone!
I have a long update for you all and it may be the last one for a while... we are at 16 days and counting to the arrival of Baby Joey!

This picture is Jimmy working on his knife skills, he is getting pretty good at slicing, his Julienne still needs some work!

You can see how he places his cut food for presentation in the blue tray... the red thing is the cutting board. He was just starting on a fruit salad this day!

We continue to enjoy our time at the park and Jimmy continues to grow stronger everyday!

Auntie Sarah came to visit and they wore each other out running around in the park!

In this picture there are two monumental things going on. First of all we have Auntie Sarah, 30 years old and lived in the US her whole life having her first cup of coffee from Starbucks - ever...
And, although we didn't know it at the time, Sarah has a bun in the oven! Whoo hoo!

After Sarah left, DADDY CAME HOME!!!!!
YEAH!
The boys are too cool and very happy to be out and about!

Jimmy also discovered the Joy of Corn on the Cob!

We didn't even have to teach him how to eat it! We just handed it to him and away he went!

This was his first attempt at it, after the picture was taken, he snatched it back and picked off the stragglers!

We are also enjoying cooking out on Jeff's new grill! Oooooh Shiny!

Jeff also figured out how to hook up the bike stroller to his bike and has been taking Jimmy on trips! Last weekend they went to Seattle for the day and were both pooped when they got back!

Still room for one more... I think we'll be getting a lot of use out of this thing for many many years!

There they go! We even got Jimmy his own helmet with Thomas on it... It was a great set with pads, too which I am sure we will need once Jimmy gets his own bike!

Jimmy also graduated to a big boy bed! His crib converts to a daybed and then to a full size down the line, but will be converted back to a crib for Joey once we get ourselves moved and Jimmy gets a new bed set courtesy of Uncle Ian.

New bed, all made up and ready for sleeping in!

And sleep Jimmy does! He has only fallen out once and conked out again after being returned to bed by Mommy.

Jimmy tried to take his own picture...

He is growing so fast and his baby fat is melting off his busy little body! I can see it in his face...
Here we are down at the gazebo watching...

The FERRY go by!

A rare picture of Mommy and Jimmy, jimmy just barely able to fit in my lap anymore!

Well, I may be able to sneak in one more update before Joey comes home, but don't count on it!
We brought up the baby stuff this weekend and I don't have any pictures of that because, frankly, it scares me! We did find the last bits of baby gear that were packed away, bottles, bibs, etc and we are all set up and ready for baby! The car seat is in the car, the pack and play is set up and all the clothes through 3 month size are washed folded and put away!
The only thing we are going to need are the consumables, diapers, wipes and formula, but we have enough to get us going! I'd say we are in pretty good shape!

So keep your fingers crossed for a healthy delivery ( I am not expecting any complications) and pictures will be posted as soon as possible, maybe even by Daddy!
Enjoy your summer weather, if you've got it!
